Can't send SMTP mail via Servers Alive and I can send it via Outlook.

If you're running an anti-virus product or (personal)firewall on your system then make sure that Servers Alive is allowed to send mail via port 25 (SMTP port) towards your SMTP server.

Some anti-virus product will only allow known applications (like Outlook) access to port 25 (SMTP) in order to send mail.  Adding Servers Alive to that list of know applications often solves the problem.

Customer praise

"What an absolutely fantastic piece of software. Why go down the expensive SNMP route when this does all you need in an enterprise monitoring solution and all for $90! Everything is easy to configure and we had it sending SMS messages in minutes.

Thanks a lot. I will be recommending this to all my colleagues."
