How to upgrade to Servers Alive v10

Upgrading from a version prior to v10
When upgrading to Servers Alive v10 there are some steps to take.

Make a backup of your entries file (*)
Start Servers Alive and uncheck the auto-load of the entries/host-file in the setup-general-startup screen
Stop the Servers Alive service (if it's running)
Install Servers Alive over the existing version
Start Servers Alive v10
Enter your new registration code (yes Servers Alive v10 uses a different registration code than Servers Alive v9 (or older)! - you can purchase an upgrade via this link)
Restart Servers Alive
In the setup-general-startup screen, recheck the auto loading of your entries file
Restart Servers Alive
It will auto-load your entries file (if configured like this). If it only loads 10 entries, then use your backup hostfile (see first point)

(*)If you do not know the name/location of your entries file AND the entries are auto-loaded in Servers Alive, then you can find the name and location of the entries file in the SETUP-GENERAL-STARTUP screen.

Customer praise

"Our Network group bought HP OpenView a year before my Database group bought SA. They paid $195,000, I paid $90. My group lets them know when the network is down. SA is so good it's scary."
